Y! P Content (1)

The content area of the Y! Personals site had also not been updated in several years. Yet, the content area was a heavily trafficked area of the site. The content area was updated last year with a completely new look and feel as well as an updated Navigation design. The navigation design that was used was based on a common User Interface model used by several different Yahoo! properties including the Y! Food site.

Why Design Portamento?

Portamento is a musical term that means: a smooth uninterrupted glide in passing from one tone to another. Music influences many of my designs and this term relates to one of the principles of good user experience design — to glide from one interaction to another. Hence, I use the term portamento for this design blog.
