Y!P Search Results Gallery View

This is an example of the Gallery View. It allows users to see as many as 10 profiles without scrolling. The profiles are also highlighted with items used as filtering categories: We Match and New.

Why Design Portamento?

Portamento is a musical term that means: a smooth uninterrupted glide in passing from one tone to another. Music influences many of my designs and this term relates to one of the principles of good user experience design — to glide from one interaction to another. Hence, I use the term portamento for this design blog.
